Even though Elvis Presley was crowned the King of Rock and Roll, his favorite type of music was gospel. In fact, all three of the Grammys awarded to Elvis were for his gospel music. The first Grammy was for the studio recording of “How Great Thou Art” in 1967. Elvis received his second Grammy for “He Touched Me” in 1972. His third and final Grammy was awarded in 1974 for a live version of “How Great Thou Art.”

If you got your fancy internet through www.clearwireinternet.com or any of the other various providers out there, you might be wondering if it’s a sin to download Christian music.
Frankly, that all depends on your definition of downloading.
If you are talking about downloading Christian music from a torrent without paying for it, then technically that is theft and, yes, that is a sin – as it would be with any other genre of music. However, if you’re talking about downloading a track that you paid for off iTunes, well, then no.
As long as artists are getting their sales, it really doesn’t matter if you’re downloading the best of Michael W. Smith or even Matt Redman.
Services like iTunes are incredibly helpful in this endeavor and their selection of spiritual and gospel music is quite vast compared to what you will find on Amazon or any other provider. Prices are cheaper too so you will be able to enjoy all the Christian music you can handle without worrying about breaking the bank.
And if you do ever find yourself facing the temptation to download and steal a Christian artist’s music, just remember – they wouldn’t want you to be doing that and it’s not just because of the sales. It’s a sin.

Today, the name Matt Redman is one that is very familiar to people in the Christian community because he has written many of the most sung worship songs in the music arena. The audience of Christian music is everyone, rather than specific niche of people or age group. There are various styles of Christian music, like rock or country. All Christian music relates back to the one purpose of honoring the Lord though.
Many famous Christian bands have sought this one purpose by reaching out to a broad and diverse population through multiple (more…)
